Google Images

I've been getting a lot of hits lately on a post from March 20th about Star Wars Episode III. People have been coming by way of Google Images.

Now do you think I could find it using Google Images?...NO!

I tried every combination of everything I could think of to see if I could find it and everytime nothing! I've even tried using several other Google's from different countries and still nothing. The stats tracker I use tracks keywords from search engines but doesn't register anything from Google Images.

If you happen to come across this page by googling the above image please leave a comment on what you typed in to find it.

One cool think I did find is if you enter "Mordant Orange Strip" Every image is of the comic strip I attempted to run for a little over a month. Very Cool.

$200 Car Wash

I decided to wash my absolutely filthy car on the weekend. It was a beautiful day so I dug out the pressure washer and went to work.

I sprayed the windshield with the pressure washer and noticed what appeared to be a piece string or something sitting on it just above the wipers. I sprayed it again trying to wash away. I watched in horror as the “string” instantly doubled in size and spread halfway up the windshield.

Apparently I must’ve had a stone chip in the windshield and the combination of the hot windshield, cold water and the pressure from the sprayer cause the small chip to crack under the rapid temperature change. I know have a nice crack on the passenger’s side that goes up above half the windshield.

So now I’m going to need to replace my windshield…hooray another expense, just what I needed!

I apologize for anyone who’s been checking back with any regularity looking for new and interesting posts. I’ve been extremely busy with other things and have pushed the blog to the back burner. My scheduled seems to have settled down recently and looks like I can start putting more time into my blog.

Things to look forward to:

Summer movie season – I’ll try to give a half ass review on what to avoid and what you should check out based on what I get a chance to check out this summer. I usually try to get out to the movies at least once a week.

Cartoons – I’ve been doing some reading on cartooning with hopes to advance my cartooning ability. I’ve abandoned The Chronicles of A Mordant Orange (for now) but I am currently working on some single panel cartoons that I hope to post and who knows maybe even sell.

A New website – I think I’ve out grown Blogger and grown tired of the hassles that arise from time to time. I’ve installed movable type and hope to have a new site up running. I’ll drop the link and setup an auto-forward to anyone that comes to this site by way of www.mordantorange.com

So stay tuned. Hopefully it will be fun and exciting, at the very least it will be a different colour!

Rat Bastards!

I've come into work and found mouse crap on my desk which kind of pisses me off because the little bastards do it right on my keyboard. The must think they’re funny.

I’ve come into work to find mouse piss on my desk which really pisses me off, filthy little bastards. It’s probably two mice; trying to up the ante of the other one that likes to crap on my keyboard,

Today I come in and find that the little bastards have now taken to chewing my mouse...little bastards!

This just drives me crazy because they've chewed right where I rest my thumb. It's all rough and every time I put my hand on it I'm going to think of those little bastards.

I guess it's time setup the mouse trap on my desk...again! The previous winter there was a mouse problem in the office. I personally caught 6 mice with a trap behind my monitor on my desk.

The only question now is do I get the humane trap with the trap door or do I go with the classic clothes peg style that will break their neck like a twig?

Arrested Development lives

Fox announced that Arrested development will return for a third season. There was speculation that it would be cancelled because of poor ratings. Another bad sign was that this season was cut short by 6 episodes due to the return of The Family Guy and American Dad.

If you haven't checked this show out, you should. I recommend giving it at least a 2 episode trial run as story line cross from one episode to another and such a large cast of characters, catching on to the crazy Bluth family takes a bit of getting used to.

A great place to start or get caught up is the first season which is available on DVD. Watch the show, buy the DVD. Keep one of the few great shows on television alive.

Scrubs Season 1 on DVD

Scrubs season 1 is finally available on DVD. When this show first premiered I thought it was supposed to be ER but with younger doctors and I had already had enough ER so I passed on it.

This show was totally misrepresented by NBC who have been an absolute downward spiral since Seinfeld finished. Sure they had Friends but anyone who watches Friends is a mindless chimp who likes to see their jokes coming from a mile down to road and their laughter canned. Now there's only Joey, does anyone even watch that? NBC is circling the bowl and they have the best sitcom on TV and no one knows about it.

By the second season I started reading about how great this show was and how I should be watching it. Unfortunately 24 had started and was on at the same time so I missed out on Scrubs.

This year (season 4) I finally was able to catch on to the series because 24 was moved to Monday nights. I feel like such a fool because I've missed this first 3 years of the best sitcom on TV right now. Now it's time for some sweet catching up.

Zach Braff who plays J.D. on Scrubs also wrote, directed and starred in Garden State. If you like Scrubs in highly recommend checking it out, fantastic movie. It also has a great soundtrack.

FUNPAK - WEEK 14 - THE MANLY BEE WINS!

THE MANLY BEE FAVOURITE FUNPAK TOON

After 13 weeks of great toons from 10 different series, The Manly Bee is crowned the Funpak favourite. Congratulations to Steve Daye; the creator and everyone who made The Manly Bee.

What's next for The Manly Bee? I was fortunate enough to talk to (email) Steve Daye who is currently finishing off some storyboard work for The Fairly Odd Parents and then is onto Phantom Danny. He's also hard at work on a submission for Oh Yeah! Cartoons 4. Even he doesn't know the future of The Manly Bee but says he's already got some ideas brewing. All the best Steve and I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Thanks to all the creators and everyone involved with Funpak for producing 13 weeks of solid entertainment. And thanks to everyone who took the time to stop by and checked out my reviews.

Ugh...

Sadly the last episodes of the Funpak goes out without a bang. Even though The Manly Bee locked up victory two weeks ago, last week's show still put out some rock solid entertainment. The same cannot be said about this week's episode. Maybe it finally sunk in that the competition was over or that the "behind the scenes" segement was just the creators explaining the premise of their show or maybe it was yet another montage episode from the once promising Miracle Koala.

Be sure to checkout the who's crowned the winner Thursday, May 5th at 7:30 pm EST. Having kept track of the weekly winners, the winning series is The Manly Bee, but like so many other times I've been proven wrong it could be someone else. Tune in and find out!

Rotting Hills

The New Girl - There's a new girl at school and she's got Clark under her spell. Oh yeah and she's a vampire!

So many bad accents hard to watch the show without the voice work driving you to crazy!

Gruesomestein's Monsters

A Wolf in Geek's Clothing - It's the wolfman in his teen years, raging hormones and mean kids. It's hard being the hairest geek in school.

Weak character design in this episode. A good series too bad that this episode might be the last we see of it.

Miracle Koala

Pop Tarts - Joe and Nero get recruited to become part of a boy band and there's a stop on the world tour in Australia.

Another montage you gotta be kidding me, 2 montage episodes out of 5. Why not just through in a clip show while your at it. Terribly dated boy band humour. I'm glad to see this one trick pony is off to the glue factory.

Vote: Rotting Hills....I guess.

This week's show had two fantastic episodes that deserve the crown as much as The Manly Bee. Where does it say that there can only be one show to come out of this. Keep on voting, if you like it enough maybe they'll make more!

The Wild Wild Crazy Circus

Kiss of the Chameleon - Garlik's has tooth ache and the kiss from a chameleon gets him high?

Apparently Garlik wasn't the only one who was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs. What is going on in this episode? Someone else must have been on something to let this get on the air. Anyone want to take the time to explain how this episode made it on TV?

Sidekick

Pomplemoose's Playground - The origin of Professor Pomplemoose.

Alright the background of an evil villain (or failed evil villian?), I love background stories. I don't know in what order each episode of Sidekick was created but they saved the best for last. This show has won me over. The animation isn't spectacular but neither was The Simpsons when it first started as long as the writing is there and continues to be solid, everything else can catch up over time. Hopefully this won't be the last we see of Sidekick. Pomplemoose what a great name!

Harold Rosenbaum Chartered Accountant Extreme

Dam it's exploding - Another action packed 5 minutes, where more questions are asked then answered! Harold's plane is shot down, Ledger Lad is held captive by the X of Evil as he plans to destroy the dam and flood the city. Tune in a find out what happens?

I think this is it for poor old Harold Rosenbaum. Why couldn't they just give us some closure?

The 9th Life of Sherman Phelps

Moving Target - Mr. Titis is moving and he's hired Sherman and Ronald to get the job done for him. He hasn't got all day.

C'mon, C'mon, C'mon. Sherman has gotta post up a win this week. This was the last episode for Sherman Phelps as well and it looks like either the folks at Neptoon Studios saved the best for last on both series or these two shows were just finding their feet. I'd like to think it was the later. Fantastic episode, I could watch a possessed Ronald get what's coming to him all day, the more elaborate the better. I hope that they bring it back, I could go for the Phelps and Sidekick Show.

The Animation Show

I just found out that The Animation Show is coming to my area, April 29th to May 5th at The Princess Cinema in Waterloo, Ontatrio. It's only a screening so Mike Judge or Don Hertzfeldt won't be in attendance but that doesn't matter. I figured it would be months before the local art house theater would get it anyways, so this is a great surprise.

I saw the first animation show last year when it came to town and it was brilliant! If you put a gun to my head and made me choose which one I liked best I would have to say Don Hertfeldt's Rejected. Billy's Balloon also made my sides hurt from laughing so much.

I'm really looking forward to see Don Hertzfeldt's "The Meaning of Life" at this year's show. I've read some crazy things about it. Check out his site Bitterfims.com there is so much great stuff inside.

With last week's win that gives Rotting Hills two wins pulling even with Sidekick and Gruesomestein's Monsters. The Manly Bee is still holding down the lead with 3 victories.

It was a disappointing loss for Sidekick who could've pulled even with The Manly Bee, but I've already expressed my feelings on that, on to this week's shows.

Gruesomestein's Monsters

Russell's Tussell - Witchy's got a date with wizard Baldric Von Beardo and he brought his owl Rudy along to play with Russell. Why can't a frog and an owl just get along?

If the giant heap of nose hair on the floor doesn't scream John K. I don't know what does. I've stated it before but this opening shot brought back memories of Ren and Stimpy. Witchy is my least favorite character that's been introduced in the series, I think her voice is just a bit too over the top. Too bad they couldn't have done another episode with Freddie and his father.

Martini and Meatballs

Xmas Salmon - Martini and Meatballs go ice fishing with hopes of catching a nice Christmas salmon.

It's starts out innocent enough Martini and Meatballs go ice fishing and while Martini is trying to cut a hole in the ice Meatballs polishes off all the food they brought. After that it just gets weirder and weirder. By far the most bizarre episode of any series so far. I liked it. Unfortunately it might leave a large portion of the audience scratching their heads. Loved the way that the bears in their suits and hats entered the scene, extra creepy....yeah!

Coolman!

Tennis Any1010111? - Lester hits the arcade and finds a game a little more his pace, Pong.

Is it possible that after 5 five minute episodes that Coolman has jumped the shark? What is a beatnik poet doing playing tennis against a robot? This seemed totally out of character for Coolman. I noticed that Steve Whitehouse did not do the storyboards for this episode, could that be a possible answer to what went wrong?

The Manly Bee

Under The Weather - Dunstan Rosenacker is tired of being the class dunce. He constructs himself a giant thinking cap and as always with a giant brain it's not long before it becomes an evil brain!

I find myself scratching my head again watching this series. I try not to get hung up on the details too much but I couldn't ignore the fact that the class dunce builds a giant thinking cap. Sure it didn't work but a lot of effort and planning would've went into creating that monster that he had on his head, when minutes before he was eating dog biscuits.

Comic Book Movies

I came across this article about Hollywood going crazy for comic books. There was a quick rundown on comic book movies in the works:

Batman Begins (June 17): With the director of Momento and the star of American Psycho it looks like Batman will be going back to his dark roots instead of the gawd awful fun house that Joel Schumacher turned the last two Batman movies into.

The Fantastic Four (July 8): I liked it better when they were called The Incredibles! I don't think it will be very good.

V For Vendetta (November): Directed by The Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix). Say no more, I'm in. Oh wait, Natalie Portman....I'm going to go line up now.

Ghost Rider (Summer 2006): The very first comic that I bought was Ghost Rider. Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, lets hope he's Ghost Rider most of the time.

Superman Returns (Summer 2006): Never been much of a fan of the man of steel but with X-Men director behind the camera I'll be there. If that's not enough Kate Bosworth is Lois Lane, maybe that will get you in the theater.

X-Men 3 (May 26, 2006): How could they screw this up? Loved the first two. Everyone hasn't signed up yet for part 3 but Hugh Jackman's in so let's get going.

The Watchmen (Summer 2006): What many consider the greatest comic book story ever told. Heard of it, never read it.

Hellboy 2 (2006): The first one was just great fun to look at, I'll be back for a second helping.

Wonder Woman (2006): Wonder Woman is hot.

Spider-Man 3 (May 2007): Loved the first one. Liked the second one. Lets hope the the third turns it around. So many villians who's up next? Sandman? Lizard? Venom?

The Sub-Mariner (2007): Chris Columbus, director of Harry Potter is behind the camera on this one.

The Flash (T.B.A.): Ryan Reynolds as The Flash...hhmmm I don't know we'll see.

Rumored but lacking details

Captain America: Possibly with Brad Pitt.

Green Lantern: Rumoured at one point to star -- Jack Black?!

The Punisher 2: The first did well enough on DVD to warrant a sequel that will shoot shortly.

The Hulk 2: Marvel insists its making a more action-centric sequel.

Iron Man: Once due in 2006, has reportedly lost its director so the search is on for who will helm Shellhead's feature debut.

Blade 4: Unlikely, but Wesley Snipes may make Black Panther.

FUNPAK - I am the Kiss Of Death

I am the kiss of death to any series I vote for.

I was positive Sidekick would win by a mile going in with a record of 2-1-0 with not much competition this past week. I haven't really been a fan of this show because I find Trevor kind of annoying and I think that the squash-stretch technique is over used. But last week's episode was hilarous and I thought it was clearly the best show that week and possibly of the series so far.

This means only one thing...FIX!!

That's right I'm calling FIX. I think they're just trying to keep it interesting right to the end and not let one toon get to far ahead. Of course I have nothing to back up this claim but how else could the loss make any sense.

Things I Now Know: Sour Cream Expiration Date

This will probably be the first of many entries, as I have recently moved out into a house and now live on my own. I like to question things and do not generally like to accept things as they are just because other say so or "because that's the way it's always been done".

Case: Sour Cream Expiration Date

Expiration date: March 23rd,
Today's date: April 13th.

The reasoning of "It's already sour, how can it go bad?" does sound like a reasonable line of thought. Of course you have to block out that part of your brain that says, "Wait it's dairy, all dairy goes bad."

I had used this sour cream a week earlier, it tasted and smelled fine and was at this point already 2 weeks past expiration. I experienced no adverse side effects. It was now 3 weeks past due but showed no signs of mold and didn't smell rancid, so I took a spoonful and tasted it before applying it to my taco. It tasted a little more sour than it should've so i pitched it.

...and now you know: While not entirely precise the expiry date of sour cream should act as a tasting deadline. If it's past the expiry date (even over 2 weeks) taste first before applying, just don't through it out. If it still tastes good...go for it!

First let me congratulate Coolman for putting a win up on the board. I was harsh on last week's episode but I'm glad to see that the show will not leave empty handed. Now if Martini and Meatballs and Sherman Phelps could pull one out I'd be happy.

If I was The Manly Bee I'd be a little concerned right now. Sidekick who has gone 2 out of 3 put up their best offering so far and possible the best episode of the entire Funpak run. I've also been hard on this Neptoon Studio series and usually side with their other entry; Sherman Phelps who has gone head-to-head 2 out of 3 and come up short.

The 9th Life of Sherman Phelps

Candy Bandit - The Candy Bandit is on the loose and is stealing all the candy in town. A possessed Ronald sets Sherman in harms way in a sting operation.

A decent episode but I would've liked to see a possessed Ronald get what's coming to him a couple more times. Not the best Sherman Phelps but still fun to watch.

Harold Rosenbaum: Chartered Accountant Extreme

Ledger Lad Liquidation - Trying to rescue Ledger Lad, Harold is forced to bring the X of Evil the last component he needs for his evil plan.

Not a fan, It's hard to comment on this serial story as not much happens over the course of 5 minutes.

Sidekick

Doom's Day Dog - The world's most evil hotdog finds it's way into the wrong hands. Mr. Troublemeyer(where do I know that name from?) (aka Master XOX) leaves his 100% pure evil wiener unattended to go grab some mustard. Trever and his "wiener sense" are all over it.

With lines like "My wiener sense is tingling", "Don't eat my wiener" and "My dad used to spit on my face all the time" if you're not laughing by the end of this, you're a wiener! Loved the bathroom shots. Colon Blast anyone?

Rotting Hills

Night at the Office - Dad's at the office and gets disconnected when talking to Clark over the phone. Clark races to help his dad before it's too late.

Could've used some butt kicking action but I guess you can't have that every episode! Excellent animation, characters are mesmerizing to watch and the backgrounds are fantastic.

Garbage Trucks and Doughnuts

I was late today. I've been late everyday for the last year and a half.

Last week my manager put a new policy in place; If you're late you bring doughnuts.

This was fine with me, I was usually only late because of the apathy of others towards my lateness. Now that there is a penalty I can motivate myself to show up to work on time. I blame the environment I work in, I'm very punctual otherwise.

Monday through Thursday I managed to make it in on time as I watched with great pleasure as my manager faulted out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday the other guy in my department was late!

Today I left a little late but I figured I could take the back way and shave off the time by driving ridiculously fast on poorly maintained roads. Everything was going according to plan until I ended up behind one of those garbage trucks that dumps off garbage bins at construction sites. Every hill was like Everest and every turn was taken with the caution of a turn in a game of Russian Roulette.

I pulled in at 8:07 and there was already a note on my monitor. I was a little pissed because when they were late it was in the half hour range. But late is late so doughnuts for everyone!

I think I'm just going to start coming in a half hour early everyday.

Last Week's Winner: The Manly Bee

This Week's Show Featured: Coolman!, Martini and Meatballs, The Wild Wild Circus Company and Miracle Koala

First off Russell Sprouts is the man! Thanks to Russell who pointed me in the direction of this week's episode on-line

The Manly Bee puts another notch on it's belt. Can anyone catch him? There's only three weeks left.

Coolman was disapointing this week. I think that the premise of this series is running thin. If these episodes were created in the order that they were broadcast I think the funds were starting to run out. I'm sure if I go back and look more closely at previous episodes it's probably there but this week seemed to be more evident of objects sliding across the screen rather than being animated.

I'm not going to say I don't like the Wild Wild Circus Company put I'm clearly not in this show's demographic so I'll leave it alone. Except to say that the directing of this episode was absolutely terrible. There were reaction shots to action you didn't know was happening, crappy camera spinning around a fixed point shots, very amateurish.

The Miracle Koala was a 5 minute montage. Montages rarely come off well, to do an entire show as a montage, that's just bad. Although I did like the ending with the bit of Canadiana thrown in.

Martini & Meatballs

Sputnik and Paris - Sputnik crashes to earth and catapults Martini to PARIS!

WOW! What a great episode. Ten times better than any other show this week. There was a monkey on a unicycle who's a mime, Russian bears and a reference of Dr. Strangelove. C'mon! If this show doesn't win this week everyone needs to go have their head examined.

Ah…Technology you win again!

I use my PVR on my expressvu to record the FUNPAK because I’m never home when it airs. As I was settling in to watch Week 9 I started up my PVR and selected this week’s episode…click nothing happens. I look in the details of the program, 0 minutes for running time. It didn’t record it for some reason. My review of week 9 will be postponed until Wednesday (catch the repeat on Tuesday).

Procrastination costs me yet again

I've been burned so many times by procrastinating, chalk up another one.

I just received word that my computer's HD is totally boned. I have an IBM which had a built in recovery disc. My computer didn't come with a burner but my old computer did...but I never installed it. (chance #1)

I could've got my recovery disc mailed to me for the cost of postage if I called for it within the first month of getting my computer...but I didn't. (chance #2)

Now I've got to pay IBM $45 or $50 to mail it out to me.

Have I learned my lesson...yes.
Will I now act differently knowing what will happen...probably not.

Arcade Fire on the Cover of Time

I just came from the local 7-11 where I saw what totally blew me away. The latest is of Time Magazine and the Arcade Fire were on the cover.

Canada's Most Intriguing Band

I've been on these guys since I saw them as the second act and the Sloan / Sam Roberts show last summer in Toronto. A concert at this point in time is looking like it was the stepping stone of some sort of master plan.

Your Feeding Tube FREE Headquarters

I’m so sick of hearing about feeding tubes. I haven’t followed the Terry Schiavo case at all but I am on the internet, listening to the radio and watching TV so I haven’t been able to escape the story.

From the in-depth and exhaustive coverage by all media outlets I still know nothing about this case except that the media is attempting to milk this until there is nothing left.

I wake up this morning to the radio only to hear that the Pope now has a feeding tube. I can bearly stand to listening the media's coverage of an old man getting older before he got a feeding tube. I can't imagine what it's going to be like now.

I’m going to need a feeding tube soon if I have to listen to anymore of this.

It's dead and I killed it

My computer finally died yesterday. It had been dragging out its own death for months with only allowing me to start it using the Last Known Configuration setting. I knew it was coming so I'm not really surprised, it put up a good fight.

I think ended up killing it on the weekend when I tried to install anti-virus software to try to combat my already infected computer. It didn't work and as the weekend progressed my computer got slower and slower. Error messages were popping up that I was out of virtual memory.

Oh well. Time to take it in for reformatting. Hopefully I can salvage some stuff off of it.

Till then I can't post any new comic strips because I lack the tools. I should be up and running and drawing by the end of the week.

Fame...where's my fortune?

I have to apologize to anyone who checks into my site with any regularity.

I recently posted an article as my contribution to the Wendy's Finger in the Chili thing. It was just something that I came up with on my hour long commute to work. I posted my article and within an hour adrants.com picked it up and posted it on their site.

Then the chaos began. My traffic went through the roof. I have a modest site that I mainly do to entertain myself with hopes of it becoming more but when I saw the hits rolling in I went nuts. I couldn't believe all these people were coming to check out my absolute lie.

Now do you think one of the hundreds of people that stopped in clicked the Google Ad on the side? NO! People come, people read, people laugh...no one clicks on the damn banner!

The traffic has slowed to a pace that my ego will allow me to get back to work.

The Chronicles of a Mordant Orange and a Coconut Named George strip has fallen behind as result of me going partially insane and cracking under the pressure of trying coming up with my next strip trying not to compare it to the freak Wendy's post.

I'm still working on the strip and hope to turn out a strip a day (the only thing that could prevent this would be me finally putting down my computer like the infected animal it is). I hope to catch up but really don't see this happening except possibly on the weekends because of my demanding reality tv show schedule.

My favourite comment that I've seen on my article so far:

Last Week's Winner: The Manly Bee

This Week's Show Featured: Harold Rosenbaulm Chartered Accountant Extreme, Rotting Hills, Gruesomestein's Monsters and The Manly Bee

The unimaginable has happened, Sidekick actual lost. The Manly Bee somehow managed to take down Sidekick last week. Both shows probably had their weakest offerings to date as well. The Manly Bee had a confusing plasticine clone that was terribly hard to make out because of the swirling texture it was painted with. Sidekick felt like it was some bad screenplay conversion from book to screen were new characters we're not properly introduced and it relied to heavily on knowing the characters previously. I also think that the stretch-squash is abused in the show and I find it hard to watch without picking it apart. That being said I have to congradulate the Manly Bee for finally taking down the juggernaut know as Sidekick.

Now on to Week 8. Every week I seem to find myself saying, "This week's show is probably going to be a let down because all of the big series were on last week" I happy to report that every week I am wrong, this just goes to show what great product YTV and Nelvana are putting out there.

Harold Rosenbaum is getting better every episode, I actually chuckled at a couple of the Ledger Lad jokes this week. This series got off to a really slow start but I think it might be too little too late as other shows have also gotten better and still out pace this show.

Rotting Hills was a decent episode this week. I've liked this show in the past for its slick animation but this week the accent on Zoey is just a little too much that I find it slightly annoying and distracting.

The Manly Bee offered up a more solid episode than the previous week but in my mind it wasn't enough to top Gruesomestein's Monsters.

The level of detail in this show is fantastic, look at the backgrounds. Every episode has featured a different cast of characters ripping on a classic monster tale. This time the Bride of Frankenstein has a blind date.

A Little Bit of Dave in Every Bite

Wendy’s restaurant has been in a steady decline since the death of founder and spokesperson Dave Thomas in 2002. In an attempt to fill the void left by the loveable founder Wendy’s executives came up with a new ad campaign “The Unofficial Spokesman of Wendy’s” featuring Mr. Wendy.

Mr Wendy and his unofficial ways enraged consumers who quickly turned their back on the fast food chain. The body of actor Roger Eschbacher who played the much detested Mr. Wendy was found earlier this past summer in an abandoned warehouse; stripped naked with hands and feet bound to a chair. Eschbacher was found face down in a large bowl of Wendy’s chili. An autopsy revealed the contents of Eschbacher’s stomach to contained 2 gallons on Frosty ice cream and 37 partially digested but barely chewed spicy chicken sandwiches. The police have ruled the death as accidental choking and regard the case as closed.

News of the death of the Unofficial Spokesman of Wendy’s sent the fast food executives scrambling to find a replacement. In an attempt to recapture their market they tapped the only resource they had, Dave Thomas. Wendy’s saw their stock return from the nose dive of recent months with new commercials features the late Dave Thomas a-la Weekend at Bernie’s.

Hoping to further capitalize on the late fast food founder giant, Wendy’s has just recently rolled out their new campaign, “A Little Bit of Dave in Every Bite”. With this campaign the new menu items include:
- Dave’s Five Finger Chili
- Dave’s Big Back Bacon Classic
- Fillet O’ Dave
- Baked Potato with sour cream, bacon, chives and bits of real Dave.

Executives hope that this will give them the boost they need to put them on top of the fast food industry. One top executive was quoted as saying, “We listen to our customers, they wanted Dave Thomas and we’re going to give him to them.”

The New CD - Make Believe is coming out May 10th, 2005

This CD has been a while coming, can't wait!

I give up!

I've tried to write the review for Week 7, three times now, my computer is a heap of infected garbage. Everytime I try to publish my post my computer just turns off.

Anyways I've decided that this week's show was not worth writing again. I've decided to change up the format instead. Here's hoping it won't be a fourth time!

Unless things go differently then they have in the past Sidekick is going to put up win #3. Sidekick has faced all three shows and beaten them all. I personally don't get what people see in this show.

Once again I'm going to go against the grain and with a show that probably won't win.

Vote: The 9th Life of Sherman Phelps

The 9th Life Of Sherman Phelps

Cloak and Stagger - Sherman and Ronald do a tune-up on Mr. Titi's spy car that is until Ronald becomes possessed by ghosts and tries to finish Sherman off.

I'm really warming up to this series. It was the only show this week worth the 5 minutes it took to watch it. Fun to watch and the theme song was stuck in my head all day...and that's a good thing!

Star Wars Episode III - The Love Boat

I've never been a huge fan of Star Wars, I respect the movies from a special effects standpoint and how it's advanced the movie industry as a whole but other than that I'll pass on the series.

I haven't followed Episode III closely but whenever I see an article in the paper I'll stop and read it. It usually had something to do with the movie being pushed back another year. But when I read this:

"It's not like the old Star Wars," Lucas told theatre owners at the ShoWest convention. "This one's a little bit more emotional. We like to describe it as Titanic in space. It's a tearjerker."

And I thought the ending of Episode II was cheesy, Episode III is going to block me up so bad I may never be able to go to the bathroom again.

The only way I'll be crying in Episode III is if Jar Jar Binks dies. I'll be laughing so hard I'll start to cry.

Kelly Frank who had been contracted as a painter at David Letterman’s Montana Ranch was plotting to kidnap Letterman’s son and nanny. He was arrested yesterday after someone who he had spoken to about the planned abduction turned him in.

Frank is also being charged with felony theft for overcharging for his painting.
